Description

ISR Performance EVO 8/9 Bolt-on Turbo Upgrade for the Genesis Coupe 2.0T

 

ISR Performance EVO 8/9 bolt-on turbo kit is designed to use a factory Mitsubishi Evolution 8 or 9 turbo capable of 335hp-365hp 

or a bolt-on upgraded turbo for the evo 8 or 9 capable of 400hp-500hp+ with supporting mods. (pistons, rods, bearings ect.) 

This kit is designed with factory placement in mind so your intake, intercooler hot pipe and down pipe will bolt right up to this turbo kit. 

Does not include Turbo or Wastegate Actuator 

 

Kit Includes :

 

  • Twin Schroll Tubular Manifold with Schedule 40 thickness steel
  • O2 Turbine Housing design to bolt up to factory downpipe or aftermarket down pipe with factory placement. 
  • Actuator adapter bracket with J-pipe 
  • Turbo Line kit w/ fire sleeve

 

EVO9 turbo customers: Helpful tip on wastegate install-

 

The bracket shown in the pictures provided is for an evo 9 turbo with evo 9 wastegate actuator.  The evo 9 turbo is a larger frame turbo than the 8 and it a very tight fit in the gen coupes.  The wastegate actuator arm also extends further out on the 9s vs the 8s.  Due to the limited space with the larger turbo and the actuator arm extending further out the bracket that holds the actuator in place needs to be at a 90 degree angle AND the bracket on the actuator itself has to be cut and new holes have to be drilled into the actuator bracket for best fitment.  We recommend the customer bolt the manifold in place, mount the turbo, clock the compressor housing and figure out the best position to mount the wastegate before drilling the holes.  This would be the best way to insure fitment.  

*See picture for reference on how the actuator should line up with the bracket and the excess bracket that needs to be cut off.

 

Notes:  Kit reuses oem BK1 (2010-12) oil return fitting for BK1's. BK2's (2013-14) will need to make their own return fitting / line as the engine mount for the BK2 is larger and the oem solution will not work. Keep in mind that this is a starter kit. Everything is bolt on but supporting mods are required like a tune, injectors, etc.
